[Abu Dhabi] Frolicking around Emirates Palace

After an exhausting jaunt through the Grand Mosque, we decided to treat ourselves lunch at the Emirates Palace. Now this is one opulent 5-star hotel on the corniche of Abu Dhabi.

Sorry no food pictures… we were starving! The food is a bit pricey but nice but you go for the very luxurious atmosphere they try to exude here. This was where we tried our first Middle Eastern food. The wife had the Royal Mezze platter so we could sample all the different Arabic delicacies. I went after the lamb kofta.

There is a Gold ATM here, one of the few to be found in the UAE, so be sure to check that out if you are visiting.

After we recharged our energy we had a walk outside to take photos. Just outside the hotel you can actually see the Etihad towers which are one of the iconic landmarks of Abu Dhabi.

Next up, we go to Oman! Look out for that (PS it’s my favourite country in the Middle East so far).
